DIGITAL CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night, my family, me, Ngiap, and Ariel went over to Grandma Barb and Grandpa Charlie's house to have Christmas with them! We ate dinner and then, we opened gifts!!! Dad got a pair of cowboy boots (he needed a new pair because his old ones were falling apart). My Mom got the computer program "Photo-shop 4" or something like that (Mom and Dad got The Chronicles of Narnia on CD from Ariel). Ashlee got a MP3 Player and a book(from Ariel, she got a cat necklace with a big charm on it, and Avalon's CD-"The Creed", she already has though, so she's going to exchange it for something else!!). Naomi got a GameBoy SP (and from Ariel, she got a very preety white necklace with a blue heart charm that Ariel made, and Jump5's CD-"Shining Star"). Reuben got the LEGO Star Wars GameBoy game, and Some LEGO kits (he got a necklace, and the Veggie Tales movie "Lord of the Beans" from Ariel). Ariel got alot of art supplies (and the book "Little Women" and a book mark from us). Ngiap got a mug and some other things (she got clothes from us). We gave Grandma Barb a sweater and a "Snow Baby" figure. We gave Grandpa Charlie 2 games, one of them was "Crainium", and I don't remember what the other one was. I got...(drum roll please!)...A DIGITAL CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you SO SO SO MUCH Grandma Barb and Grandpa Charlie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a Nikon Coolpix 5600 (it has 5.1 megapixles, 3x zoom, 16 scene modes, and a bunch of other things!!!!!!!!) I REALLY like it!!!!! I also got with it rechargeable battery thingies, and a 128 MB memory card (it holds about 88 pictures). I really like it!!!!! (Also, from Ariel I got Point of Grace's CD-"Winter Wonderland", and a necklace that Ariel made!!)
Yesterday, my family (not my Dad, because he was at work) and Ariel went to my Nana's house to open our gifts from her (we're going to NY for Christmas, so we won't see her). Ashlee got Tigger socks, Barlow Girl's CD-"Another Journal Entry", two toe rings, and three anklets. Naomi got Eeyore socks, The Chronicles of Narnia soundtrack, two toe rings, and an anklet. Reuben got a mini skateboard, a CD holder, and a LEGO Racer thing. Ariel got a address book, a pink heart shaped box, and a little box that looks like luggage. I got Natalie Grant's CD-Awaken, a watch, and two cool pens!!!
I have had an awesome Christmas so far, even though it's not even Christmas Day yet!!!
Just remember, Don't leave CHRIST out of CHRISTmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

"The Chronicles of Narnia; The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe"

Last night, me, my family, Ngiap, Ariel, Bekah, Mr. Hall, and Mr. and Mrs. Wacome went to see the "Chronicles of Narnia" at the theater. I thought it was avery good movie!!! At times it was sort of scary, like when the White Witch was killing Aslan. But if scary things don't bother you, I would definately recomend this movie to you!!!!
Here is Focus On The Family's "Clubhouse Magazine" Narnia movie reveiw-

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
MPAA Rating: PGDistributor: Walt Disney PicturesDirector: Andrew Adamson
Starring: Georgie Henley as Lucy, Skandar Keynes as Edmund, Anna Popplewell as Susan, William Moseley as Peter, Tilda Swinton as Jadis the White Witch, James McAvoy as Mr. Tumnus, Kiran Shah as Ginarrbrik, Jim Broadbent as Professor Kirke: voices of Liam Neeson as Aslan, Ray Winstone as Mr. Beaver, Dawn French as Mrs. Beaver.

After being evacuated from London during the World War II Nazi bombing, the Pevensie children — Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter — end up living with an old professor on a rambling country estate far from the city and the war. Under the watchful eye of the professor's strict housekeeper, Mrs. Macready, the children must find ways to keep themselves amused.
When Lucy discovers a huge wardrobe while playing hide and seek, the furs give way to firs, and she finds herself in a snow-covered land called Narnia. Soon all the Pevensie children enter this magical world where it is always winter but never Christmas. There the children must face the White Witch.
Chases. Fights. Battles. Beavers! A lion named Aslan who becomes a picture of Jesus. And the love that binds four siblings together. These are just a few of the reasons the land of Narnia is so loved by so many. This story is full of lessons about loyalty, courage, selflessness and sacrifice. Peter and Susan look after each other and their younger brother and sister.
Some scenes may be too intense for young viewers. Depictions of a bombing, battle scenes and chases will frighten some children. But the movie portrays very little blood and actual violence.
With strong spiritual themes, Narnia is an adventure that will give kids and their parents something to roar about!

I thought that this was a good reveiw because it was from a Christian veiw!!!!!!
My Dad liked the movie and said that now he has to see it again to see the details!!!
...I really liked it and hope that everyone else who sees it will like it too!!!!!

It's Raining, It's Pouring...

Today it's raining really hard and our basement is getting a little flooded. My mom is outside shoveling the snow around the house!!
Before I got on the computer to write this, I was making Christmas gifts, I was making hemp stuff. Here are what the 2 that I've already compleated looks like (it's only the centers, the ends are just a regular "box" knot)-

Anyways...I thought that they came out nice!! Leave a comment and tell me what you think about them!!!

Snow Storm

Last Friday, we had a very bad snow storm. The snow piled up to about 15 in!!!!! Ariel was VERY excited, the day before she asked Ngiap if she could "go to the snow storm?"!!! Ngiap told her to wait and the snow storm would come to her. I think that she enjoyed going outside during the storm. The snow was so high that Awana was canceled!!!
On a different subject...
Last night Ashlee, Naomi, and I had our piano recital. We take piano lessons at Music Works, I think that it's really fun, and our teacher, Miss. Kathy, is AWESOME!!!!!! Ashlee, Naomi and I played an ensomble of "Carol of the Bells", and Ashlee played "The Twelve Days of Christmas". Anyways...the recital started at 4:30 p.m. and didn't end untill 6:00 p.m.. That wasn't to great, because we had our Youth Group Christmas party to go to that started at 5:00 p.m. and we knew that we were going to be late, but we got to the party around 6:20 p.m. so we only had about 40 minutes there, but after, we got to go out for pizza, so I guess it's o.k. (there was only about 10 people there, but about 20 people said that they would go :( ).
Anyways................................

The Cutting of the Hair

Today, in the town of Tewksbury, Erika, Katelyn, and Tori had their amazingly long hair cut off!!! YEA!!! Finally!!!!!! Here are some pictures!!!!
Before (My hair)
After (My hair)

It was kind of weird!!! I got 11in. taken off, Erika got 10in. taken off, and Katelyn got 12 1/2 in. taken off!!

When I first had the idea of cutting off my hair, I was in 1st grade. The reason I wanted to cut my hair was to donate the cut hair to Locks of Love, which is a organization which takes donated human hair and makes the hair into wigs for children who have cancer (a wig normally costs around $3000, but Locks of Love gives the wigs to people for free!!). I have been growing my hair out for 7 years!!!! Now I'm going to grow out my hair again, and when it gets long enough, cut it again and donate more hair to Locks of Love!!!!!!!! I have been putting off cutting my hair for a while, but I finally got the guts to do it!!!!!

Here are some more pics.

The hair person cutting my hair off!!!

Katelyn, me, and Erika holding our cut off hair!!

Finally, it was a good experience. I think it also feels good to know that you have helped someone!!!!

P.S. Now you might actually be able to see my number on my soccer uniform!!!!

White Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving (yesterday), it snowed for the 2nd time this year. My family and I went to my cousin Sean's high school football game. Somerville high school lost 24-0.
After Sean's football game, we went to my Nana's house for lunch. It was all really good, the turky, soup, potatos, veggies, and pies (yum, yum!).
I think that in all the turkey and dressing the REAL meaning of Thanksgiving gets lost. We should all take a minute to think about what we're thankful for. Even if you think you have nothing to be thankful for, I bet you could find at least one thing to be thankful for!!!
I'm thankful for...
family, friends, soccer, horses, food, clothes, the computer, TV, music...
If you are reading this post, could you leave a comment of at least one thing (or more!) that you're thankful for!!! Let's see how many people we can get to leave posts!!!
thanx!! ;D

30 Hour Famine

Last weekend, (November 18-19(Friday-Saturday)) my youth group and I did the 30 Hour Famine. We fasted for 30 hours!!!! It was very interesting! I thought it was kind of easy, (we could drink water), but some people might disagree with me. We all raised money for World Vision (World Vision helps people in third world counties who don't have any food). I raised $391.00!!!!
On Friday, our last meal was lunch, and that night we went to church as usual for Youth Group. After youth group, we just hung around, then we played sardines, it was really fun!!!! Then we had a praise and worship time. After that, we went to sleep (it was about 2:00 A.M. Saturday) the boys slept in the basement, and the girls slept in the auditorium, I slept on a pew!! They are really comfortable!!!! Anyways...when we woke up the next morning, we raked the whole church's yard, then we raked Ms. Havens's (one of the lady that goes to our church) yard (the boys went to her house while the girls stayed at the church to finish up with the leaves there. When the girls got to Ms. Havens's, all the boys had given up and were all in the Korean church's van. About two of the boys were still working and all of the female leaders that went to Ms. Havens's were still working.) After all the leaves were done, all of the girls and one boy went to Boston. All the other boys stayed at the church and rotted their brains out playing video games while we were in Boston. We went to Elias's work and then took the T into Boston. When we first got into Boston, everyone had to go to the bathroom, so Elias made us walk through all of Faneuil Hall to get to the bathrooms!!!!!!! There was a really long line for the girl's bathroom, so, Elias was taking pictures of us in line and Kevin was making a movie!!!! After that, we just walked around. We saw some break-dancers, they were really cool!!!!!!! We also went to the Holocaust Memorial, it's really sad! We stayed in Boston for about 4 hours. We left at about 6:00 P.M. It's alot of fun to go on the T!!! In Faneuil Hall some people got chocolate and goodies for after the famine!!! The boys who didn't go to Boston were really sad!!! For dinner, we had french toast, pancakes, eggs, and sausage. You couldn't get any food for yourself, someone else had to serve you because the famine wasn't about us, it was about serving others. It was interesting.
All in all, it was really fun. Kevin made a movie of most of it. If I can, I might put it on this blog.

Matthew 25:35-45 (New International Version)

35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

Verses

Here are some verses I found in the Bible-

Proverbs 30:7-9
"7Two things I ask of you, O Lord; do not refuse me before I die:
8Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
9Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD?'
Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."

Proverbs 30:24-31
"24Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise;
25Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer;
26coneys are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags;
27locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks;
28a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings' palaces.
29There are three things that are stately in their stride, four that move with stately bearing:
30 a lion, mighty among beasts, who retreats before nothing;
31a strutting rooster, a he-goat, and a king with his army around him."

Matthew 16:26
"26What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?"

Proverbs 31:30
"30Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleating; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised."

Mark 10:27
"27Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

1 Peter 3:3
"3Your beauty should not comre from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewlery and fine clothes."

John 13:16-17
"16I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messanger greater than the one who sent him.
17Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them."

Acts 18:9-10

9One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: "Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city."

Romans 8:38-39

38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Samuel 16:7b

The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Psalms 34:7

7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

Psalms 102:25-27

25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.
27 But you remain the same, and your years will never end.

Psalms 30:11-12

11 You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.

I named it 'Blueberries'. I took it at Grandma Barb and Grandpa Charlie's cottage in New Hampshire. Last Saturday, the Clash played against the Tewksbury Comets at 8:00 in the morning!! We lost 1-5. We have had 3 wins, 2 losses, and 2 ties. We only have one more game left!!:( The only goal we got was a really cool goal. Pooja made it!! Go Pooja!!!!! Past Two Games...

For the past two of my soccer games (October 15th and 22nd) we played the same team, Chelmsford 3 (they have a differant name, but it says 'Chelmsford 3' on my schedule, and I don't know what their other name is). The first game we played against them, (10-15-05) it was at 8:00 a.m., and it was picture day, and it was almost like playing in a lake, the feild was so wet from the rain the night before. We tied 2-2, and would have won if I hadn't missed the dumb penalty kick at the end of the game.
The next game (10-22-05), we played at the Chelmsford field (the first game we played at Edwards Field, our home field). We tied again 3-3. I got the tying goal!!!! YEA!! Elias, Kaeleigh, Emily, Ethan, and Briana went to my game. It was cold.

Clash vs Wizards

Last Saturday (October 1, 2005) the Clash played against the Tewksbury Wizards. We won, YEA!!!!! The score was 3-2. It was a really good day for soccer. There was a blue sky, and it was cool out. For one of our goals, Joanna kicked it, and it hit off the top bar of the goal, and Dani kicked it in!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sophie's Birthday!!

Last Saturday, (October 1), my sister Ashlee and I, went to Sophie's 13th birthday!!!!!
HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY SOPHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had alot of fun! She liked her presents, and we played alot of fun games!!!!!

Clash vs Scorpions

Last Saturdaz, the mightz, mightz Clash played against the Dracut Scorpions. We won. The score was too much to not enongh (10-0). I got one goal and my sister Ashlee got one goal also. Almost everone on my team got a goal. It was not a very hard game, we just went out, kicked the ball around a little, and then scored. My coach kept on telling us to focus on our positoning, we were trying to, but how are you not supposed to score when you have the ball 10 feet in front of the net with almost no one in front of you????? Anyways.....

Georgia

Today, Mom is going to visit the Jones in Georgia untill Sunday (Oct. 2nd). We are all going to miss her. I hope she has fun! Ashlee keeps on begging to go with her, I do not know why she keeps on asking even when she knows that the answer will be no.
Today is soccer practice (at five thirty). Naomi also has soccer practice (at five o clock). One of the girls on Ashlee and my team (Katelyn) has a sister on Naomis team, so, since we only have one car, we are going to drop Naomi off at her practice (leaving her there with Mrs. Borba (Katelyns mom), and Natalie (Katelyns sister)), while we take Katelyn to my practice with us. Then at the end of Naomis practice Mrs. Borba will drop off Naomi at the field Ashlee I practice at, and pick up Katelyn.
Also, sorry I have only been posting about soccer games (not that theres anything wrong with that), I havent really had time to post anything else (there isnt very much happening around here).

Clash vs T

Our last game (on last Saturday) wasn't as great as the first game. We lost. The score was 5-0. A sad loss, I know, but you have to keep a few things in mind about the game-
-The feild was HUGE! Alot bigger than we're used to, almost full-sized.
-The team we were playing agains was pretty good.
-The referee was really bad, he was coaching the other team, laughing at my team, and making unfair calls (for us, not for the other team).
-We only had 3 subs, the other team could sub out their whole team at a time.
-The field was really bad, there was hardly any grass, and the dirt was hard and slippery.
Oh...also I got to be captian for that game :)!

Clash vs Padres

My soccer team (the Lowell Clash) won our first soccer game against the Tewksbury Padres. YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, this might seem like no big deal to all of you reading this (unless you're on the Clash), but it really is a HUGE deal. You see my soccer team does not like Tewksbury teams (I have nothing against the town, just the soccer teams) every single game we played against them last season we lost, and we had to play 4 differant teams, then we had to play 2 of the same teams we had already played against another time in a tournament at the end of the season (we lost both games)(one of the teams was the Padres), in other words we had to play 6 games against Tewksbury. I got kind of sick of Tewksbury teams. So...........now can you tell why it was such a big deal that we beat the Padres?????????? Anyways...the final score was 3-2. My sister Ashlee got a goal (YEA!)!!!!! And 2 other girls on my team, Kaitlyn and Christina, scored the other goals. All in all it was a pretty good game.

Bekah

Today Bekah and Mr. Pette (as Kevin calls him) Hall came over after church. Right now Mr. Hall Is going over to the Torres' house to have Elias fix his computer. Mr. Hall said Bekah could do everything she wanted except have fun. Earlier this afternoon Dad was teaching Mr. Hall how to golf. It was interesting to watch. First Mr. Hall hit the ball into the side of the house so hard, now we have a dent on the side of our house! Then Dad hit the ball REALLY far and we couldn't find it!
Right now Bekah is playing the guitar. We are going to watch America's Funniest Home Videos and Extream Home Makeover.
Anyone who is reading this should watch a funny thing called "Store Wars" click here to watch it.
A couple of nights ago, my family was eating diner and we started talking about what we thought some 'Star Wars' out-takes would be! Here are some of them.
-In Episode 6 when the Ewoks go to fight the clones, when they run out of the woods, when they see the clones they scream and run away, instead of fighting them.
I can't think of anymore, and I am being forced to get off the computer, so...BYE, SEE YA LATER!!!!

Revolution soccer game

Last Saturday (August 27) my Youth Group had a car wash and then went to a New England Revolution soccer game. It was the Revolution against D. C. United. During the first half D. C. United scored the first goal. :( Bekah Hall kept on going back an forth between who she thought would win. On the drive to Gillette Stadium she thought D. C. United would win. The Revolution scored their first goal at the beginning of the 2nd half. One of the D. C. United guys headed the ball into his own goal!!!! In the last seconds of stopage time, Taylor Twellman (on the Revolution) jumped above a group of D. C. United guys and headed the ball into the goal!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone was so excited!!!! You could almost feel the energy in the stadium!!!!!!!! I REALLY hope we can do that again!!!! (sorry there isn't any pictures, we took some, but, they came out all fuzzy!)

Camp Berea-Girls Camp 2005

Last Saturday I came home from Camp Berea (www.berea.org) in Hebron, NH from a two week session (Girl's Camp). I went with my friends Erika, Kaeleigh, Sophie, and Maddison. We met 4 other girls that were in our cabin, Kaitlyn, Adisa, Ashley, and Julia. My counslers were Ellie and Bethany. We all had an AWESOME time!!! I'll post pictures from the weeks once I get them developed.
During the second week, I played soccer on a 6 girl team. It was a lot of fun. Our team name was the 'Berea Turtles'.
I would totally recomend Camp Berea to anyone who wanted a good Christian camp to go to!!!
