This Man

This is an absolutely amazing song. It gives my goosebumps ever time I listen to it. Jesus sacrificed so much, just so that we could be with Him.

This Man
Written by Jeremy Camp

In only a moment truth
Was seen revealed this mystery
The crown that showed no dignity He wore
And the King was placed for all the world
To show disgracebut only beauty flowed from this place

Would you take the place of this Man?
Would you take the nails from His hands?
Would you take the place of this Man?
Would you take the nails from His hands?

He held the weight of impurity
The Father would not see
The reasons had finally come to be to
Show the depth of His grace flowed with
Every sin erased He knew that this was
Why He came

Would you take the place of this Man?
Would you take the nails from His hands?
Would you take the place of this Man?
Would you take the nails from His hands?

And we just don't know the blood and
Water flowed and in it all He showes
Just how much He cares
And the veil was torn so we could have
This open door and all these things
Have finally been complete

Would you take the place of this Man?
Would you take the nails from His hands?
Would you take the place of this Man?
Would you take the nails from His hands?
From His hands
From His hands
From His hands
From His hands
From His hands

Cassie

One of the girls in our homeschool group, Cassie, was in a cantata at her church last night. She had a solo, and also sang with the group. She was AWESOME! She has an amazing voice! Her solo was excelent! As I said before, she has a breathtaking voice! She seemed really nervous before, but I don't think that changed how well she did. I was going to take a picture of her, but I forgot! :/ Oh well, it was excellent! GOOD JOB CASSIE!!

Snow??

Where's all the snow???? I know I wrote a post about the snow falling, but it didn't stay very long! There wasn't even a little bit on the ground, it just kinda fell and disappeared! I'm very sad now. :( I want it to snow for Christmas, and I just looked on weather.com, and it said that it's supposed to rain for most of the next 10 days. :( Also, they have a map on it (here) that shows how much of a chance people all over the US have of getting snow. I think we have a 50-75% chance of getting snow for Christmas. That's pretty good. I guess. Anyways, we don't have any snow right now, and we'll probably have mud in a couple days, but I hope we'll get snow!

35 Hour Famine

Last Friday and Saturday, my youth group did the 30 Hour Famine. For me it was a 35 hour famine, because I started at 7:30am instead of noon. Ngiap challenged me to do it, and she paid me $10 for every extra hour. It was a lot of fun and a great experience. We went to the church Friday night for regular youth group, and everyone who stayed for the famine slept over. We had 13 kids, 9 girls and 4 guys. We had 3 leaders. As I said, we had regular youth group, and then we kind of helped clean up the church after Awana sort of. While we were waiting for the Koreans to be done in the sactuary, we played with the nerf guns that one of the guys brought. That was really fun! Then we had a sort of discussion time. Then we went into the sanctuary to sing and talk some more. Then, we played sardines!! Now, if you have never played sardines at 1 o'clock in the morning in a pitch black church, you have GOT to do it! It was SO much fun!! Then we went to bed at something like 2:00am (Saturday morning). We woke up around 8:30. First we decorated the church for Christmas, but after a while, we got distracted because the guys and Elias started shooting the guns at the girls. They played with the guns for about a half hour, then we went to a homeless shelter called the Lazarus House. We split into two groups, one stayed at the house and did some cleaning, and the other one (that I was with) went to their soup kitchen and moved sugar, moved chairs and a desk into a truck, and put a lot of bags of clothes into the truck, too. It was quite fun! There's a picture of everyone who was in my group sitting in the truck we packed at the end of this post. Anyways, moving on, after that we went back to the church to go to the bathroom, charge the camera battery, and get ready to go to Boston. Then we went to Boston. We took the T in. The ride was a lot of fun! One of the guys had heelies, and when the train slowed down, he would roll down the aisle of the car. It was really cool to watch! When we got to Boston, we did a picture scavenger hunt. The questions were like, take a picture with a police, with an important person, with a fountain, with as many people as you could, with a homeless person, with a street performer, and you had to get 5 signatures for no reason. It was the girls against the guys. I think the guys got everything, but the girls didn't get a street performer, and we didn't get a picture with the homeless person, the reason which you'll find out in a few. We had to give a Burger King meal to the homeless person that we were supposed to take a picture with, so that we wouldn't be walking up to some random homeless person, and being like "Hey, you're a homeless person, can we take a picture with you?". That would just be mean. So, we got everything except for our street performer, and the homeless person, and our meal was getting cold, so we needed to find our homeless person. One of the girls saw a person fall off of a bench and then not get up or anything, so we were like, oh, here's our homeless person. We walked up to him, and 3 of the girls walked up to him and put the bag and drink in front of his head and walked away. The guy didn't move, and we started walking away. I didn't really want to just leave him there without checking to see if he was ok, so I convinced our leader to go back and check with me and two of the girls. There was a couple other homeless people there when we went back and they were taking they guy on the ground's food. Our leader told them that it was for him, and offered to buy them all food. There was a lady there and she was talking us, but we couldn't really understand what she was saying, because she was rambling. They were all drunk or on drugs. So, we went to get them all food, and we found Dad, and he came with us. We went back, and gave them all the food. They were really thankful. The guy on the ground hadn't moved, but someone had put a blanket over him. One of the homeless guys who was there went to call 911, and we stayed to wait for it with them. While we were waiting, we started talking to one of the guys who was there. We told him what we were doing, and what church we were from, and why we were doing everything that we had done. He said that he had grown up near Boston, and in high school, he had gotten involved with drugs, and had gotten addicted. Somehow, he had gotten sober for 9 years, and had been a drugs counselor, and then this summer while in Hawaii, he had had a beer and gotten addicted again. He asked us to pray for him, that he would be able to get sober again. He said that everyday, God showed him two roads he could take, either to drink or not, and he always chose the wrong one. I invited him to come to our church, and he seemed very grateful for the invitation. He asked us to pray for him. So, now I'm asking everyone who reads this to pray for him too, his name is Denis. With God all things a possible. Anyways, we waited a while, and the ambulance didn't come. Then we went to where some of the people in our youth group were waiting, and the guys had gotten back. Elias was making fun of us, and it was NOT funny. I really felt like God was telling me to help those people out. It was kind of weird to see the guys faces, because all of them (except for Elias) had a look of confusion and sadness on their faces, and it looked like they were thinking something like, why are all the girls crying?! We prayed for all of the people that we had interacted with. I think almost all of the girls cried. Elias was making fun of me by saying like, "Oh, Tori's crying over some dumb homeless person." That really made me mad. They are people, just like you and me. I really wish that the guys in our youth group had been able to have the same experience that we had. After that, we went on the T back to church, and we broke the fast at our pastor's house, because the Koreans were using the church for a dinner with their church. Anyways, we broke the fast, and the whole experience is something I don't think any of us will forget. Here are some pictures-This is my group in the truck we loaded.(^)
Elias was sleeping on the table near the end of when we were playing sardines and when we were getting ready to go to bed. I took this picture at about 1am, with flash and he didn't wake up. Then all the girls hit him with pillows and he woke up. (^)

"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take you inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look at me.' They will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." -Matthew 25:31-46

I think that the homeless people that we met would be considered on of "the least of these". I'm really blessed that we were able to be Jesus' hands and feet Saturday in some small way.

30 Hour Famine

Today is the start of the 2nd 30 hour famine that I've done. If you all remember, we did it last year, too! Last year, I raised $391 to feed hungry children. This year, my goal was $720, and I'll tell everyone how much I've raised this year once the famine is over, and I've collected it all!! So, one of my friends challenged me to do it for more than 30 hours, so I think I'm starting at breakfast today instead of luch. She said she'd pay me $10 for every extra hour I did it for. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to eat luch, though. I might eat luch at 10, so that would be 2 extra hours. Anyways, just wanted to inform y'all of that! Oh, yea, here's a graphic I made for the famine-

Rules

Here are some rules that I made up.

1. Thou shalt not touch thy older sister's camera
2. Thou shalt not touch thy older sister's ring
3. Thou shalt not invade on thy older sister's privacy
4. Thou shalt not touch or take thy older sister's cookies.

(Naomi look at #4)
My parents should take greater measures to enforce these rules. They are definitely not enforced enough at my house.

1 Corinthians 7:34-35

This is a great verse that tells us, unmarried Christian teen girls (and married women), what God wants us to do with our life.

"An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world-how she can please her husband. I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivivded devotion to the Lord." ~1 Corinthians 7:34-35

Football

Yesterday, we played football with the youth group. It was a lot of fun. We played at a park near my house. We had 11 people; Dad, me, Ashlee, Naomi, Reuben, Sophie, Meghan, Kevin, Thacher, Andrew and Elias. It was a lot of fun! We played two hand shove. The field was totally mud except for the ends, and I think almost everyone, except for Sophie, slipped and got muddy. There was Ashlee, Sophie, Kevin, Thacher and Reuben on one team, and me, Dad, Elias, Naomi, and Meghan on the other team. Then Andrew came, and Reuben came to my team. My team lost, something like 8 or 9 to 4. Elias used Ashlee's cleats for a while, but his feet were hurting, and he took them off. It's no wonder they were hurting, Ashlee's feet a a couple sizes smaller than Elias'! Today at church, Elias was really sore! I think we all had an awesome time!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! Today is a day to be thankful for everything that God has blessed us with! I hope everyone will take some time to give thanks to God! We should also tell all of our family and friends that we are thankful for them! So, to all of my friends and family, I am very thankful that God has blessed me with all of you! Also, I'm thankful for the 212 things I posted on the post before this, along with other things (that I carelessly forgot!). I am so serious, I could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on, and the post would never end! But I didn't think that anyone would take the time to read a post that went on and on and on and on, etc., so I just did 211 things. Anyways, I hope you all have a great thanksgiving wherever you are!

Randomness

Hey yo. yea, so. WOw, that ryms!! Im so smart! Here's two really cool pictures I took when I was fooling around with my camera and my Dad's guitar!I like the first one best!

Youth Conference

Yesterday we had a youth conference at my church! It was a lot of fun! Our church was hosting it, so we got to lead the singing! I played the keyboard, Dad and Kyle played acustic guitars and Kevin played his electric guitar. Unlce Ron played for a couple of songs. Some of our girls sang. I think it was Ashlee, Sophie, Brianna, Arianna, Erika, Katelyn and Kaeleigh. It was a lot of fun, and I don't know how it sounded, I'll have to see the movie Elias made. Uncle Ron came with his family, and he was the speaker, and he was awesome! He was so funny!! He talked about Elijah and Esther. It was a lot of fun! We played dodge ball in the interaction time, and it was crazy! Mom did a great job with the food! On Friday, she went shopping for food for the conference, and the car looked really funny because she had 8 bags of chips that filled up the whole back seat, and in the back, she had 8 jugs of lemonaide, and 8 jars of tomato sause, and a couple bags of other things!! It was crazy! We had a tallent time, too. Ashlee Sophie and Erika sang while I played the piano and Dad played the guitar. We did a song called "I am nothing" by Bebo Norman. I thought it sounded pretty cool!! One church did a puppet thing, and two people sang. We had a Bible quiz on Philippians. I was on my church's team with Lauren, Brianna and Erika. There was 3 teams other than us. We get second place! YEA!! GO US!! The team that we compeated against in the finals had been doing the quiz for a while, and it was our first time, so we did really well!! Also, we were all girls and the other team was all boys, so that was wierd! lol! I guess our worship people did really well, because we were invited to two churches!! All in all it was really fun!!

It's almost the most wonderful time of the year!!

YEA!! I can't wait untill the most wonderful time of the year is here! We're almost there! I love the smells if winter...the Christmas trees, the peppermint, snow, candles, cookies (yum, yum!), food and everything else that goes with Christmas!! I love trying to think of presents to fit each of my friends and family's unique personalities (even though this is terribly hard!). I really love wrapping presents, and then seeing the person getting the present's face when they open it (that is one of the best things!). I love going to church on Christmas weekend, and singing Christmas carols, and seeing everyone's Christmas outfits! I love going sledding and going over big jumps, and then wiping out! I love going home after sledding with friends and having hot chocolate with giant marshmallows! I love opening presents. I love going shopping with Erika for gifts for my friends and family. I love making jewelry for presents. I love everything about Christmas! I love celebrating Jesus' birth! The only two things that I don't like is having to clean out Snoopy's cage in the snow, and how this world today always tries to take Jesus out of Christmas. It's quite sad how some store emploies aren't even allowed to say "Merry Christmas", they have to say "Happy Holidays." It is sad.

GO REVS!!

I know that the title may have you thinking that the Revs won the MLS Cup, but, no, they didn't. :( They lost in penalty kicks. Matt Ries did awesome!! Two shots didn't go in for the Revs, and 1 shot was blocked for the Dinamo. They were tied 0-0 for the whole game, and then they went into over time. In the last four minutes, they each got a goal within two minutes of each other! The Revs got the first one, Taylor Twellman kicked it in, and then some guy from the Dynamo (duh!) scored on a header! Usually, Twellman scores on headers, but this time he didn't! The Revolution did awesome the whole game, it was just really disappointing that they lost. I bet they are going to get into the MLS Cup, and they are going to win!! GO REVS!!

Football

Today, our youth group played football against two other churches. It was flag football. We won 1, tied 2, and lost 1! I got two toutch downs!! YEA!! It was a lot of fun, even though I'm really tired now! We played on a soccer field! It was kind of weird, but that's O.K.! I guess I'm done, even though I havn't written much! TTYL!

A Daily Prayer of Mother Theresa

Dear Lord,
Help me spread Your fragrance wherever i go.
Flood my soul with Your Spirit & Life. Penetrate me, possess my whole being so utterly all my life may only be a radiance of Yours. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul i come in contact with may feel Your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me, but only You, O Lord! Let me preach You without preaching, not by words, but by my example by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what i do, the evident fullness of the love my heart bears to You.
Amen.

8th (and last) Game of the Fall '06 Soccer Season

Today we played our last game this season! We played against S; last time we played them, we lost by 1, but it was off-sides. Today, we lost, 0-7. Yea, I know....it's a terrible score for the last game. I know I said that we would win, but I'm not always right. Anyways, we only had 8 of the players on our team show up, which is insane. So, Naomi and another girl on her team, Victoria had to play for us. So we played 10 on 10. We played on astro turf. We definitely did not play very well. It was really cold out, and after our game, we got to go and sit in the freezing cold for Reuben and Naomi's games. Naomi was obviously tired, because she had just played a whole game for us, but she still stuck in there! I'm quite tired right now, too, and I can't think of anything to say, so I guess I'm done! But you havn't heard the last of me! I'll be back ranting about our games pretty soon, because I'm playing indoor this winter!! Mua-ha-ha-ha!!

Sorry.......

Sorry I didn't post about what was supposed to be our last soccer game (last Saturday). It was canceled because of the rain!! That's o.k., though, I guess!! I have been really busy, and I'm really sorry I haven't posted! :/ So anyways, my Mom's birthday was last week!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!! I love her very, very, very much!! (I couldn't make a blend for her, like I did for my Dad, because 1, I don't have very good pictures of her, and 2, I think she would probably get mad at me because she doesn't like any of the pictures I've taken of her!! lol!). She is an awesome person, and she always cares for everyone else before she even thinks about herself!! She is a gift from God!! She got some flowers from my Dad for her birthday, and I had to take pictures of them (you know me!! lol!). So here are some of them-
I thought they came out pretty good!! What do y'all think?
Oh, yea, and I made this blend of my sister a while ago-I thought it came out pretty good!! lol!!

7th Soccer Game

Finally, I'm going to post about my soccer game less than a week after it!! So, last weekend, we played against the same team that we played against in our second game. And....we lost (big surprize there!). We lost 9-0. Yes, I know it's a terrible score (especially if you were the goalie). But, three of the girls on my team (includung me) had colds. I think that all three of us couldn't really breath through or noses, which makes it hard. And, Shelby got hurt. I think that she got pushed, and she was on the ground and she couldn't breath (she was one of the ones with a cold). To make it worse, she is an awesome player, and she has asthma, and she runs so much, it's insane! Anyhow, we lost, and it almost seemed like some of us forgot how to play soccer for a little bit. It was really crazy!! Anyways, we lost, and we didn't play very well, so I don't really have anything else to say, I guess!! Next (this) Saturday we are going to win, though! Go GU-14 2!!

6th Soccer Game

O.K. This is really late, but y'all probably want to know about it!! We played the team that we played against the first game, and we lost 4-1, but that's o.k.! Becky scored the goal on a free kick! Also, it was a really special goal, because the team had never been scored upon before, so Becky scored the first goal on them!! The referee was terrible!! He was practically blind. For example, Once, Becky got tripped, pushed, and then kicked in the head when the girl that had pushed and tripped her was jumping over her, and the ref just stood there looking on, like it was just a regular play!! Then the girl who kicked, etc., Becky went in to get a goal because all of our team was looking to see if Becky was O.K. And the referee counted it!! That was only one example of many!! The team cheated a lot, because they tripped, and they pushed a lot! The referee didn't call anything. It was quite a disappionting game, just that the coach would let them play like that! And I'm going to stop right now, because they were just so bad, and so was the referee.

5th Soccer Game

I'm really, really sorry that I havn't updated in a while! :/ Anyways, last Saturday, we played against T, and WE WON!!!! The score was 1-0, but who cares, WE WON!! YEA!! Emily scored the goal! GO EMILY!! I don't remember very much about the game.....oh, yea, Katelyn was there! It was really good to see her! Just wanted to let you know that we won, and hopefully next week I won't have such a short post, and I won't forget! :/ lol! Have a good day!

Barlow Girl Blends

Here are some blends I made of Barlow Girl-

4th Soccer Game

O.K., so today we played our 4th game of the season against WA! We tied 1-1! We played of artificial turf! It is really weird! It is so fake, but I guess that we play well on it! And the crazy thing is, that we only had 12 people come, so we only had one sub!! :/ BECKY GOT THE FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON!! I know, crazy, huh?!! It was a really awesome shot!! She did a great job! It was an awesome high shot right over the keeper from the left corner of the goalie box! It was beautiful! lol! Anyways, the game was dedicated to Katelyn, one of the girls on my team, who broke her collar bone and dislocated her shoulder last Wednesday, so she can't play any more. :( But anyways, I think that we played well because we had sort of a reason for winning, it wasn't just to win, but it was for Katelyn! Anyways, that's my story....hope you like it!

3rd Soccer Game

O.K., So last Saturday, we played S {see note [at the bottom }. It was an interesting game, to say the least! Before the our game, at Naomi's game, it was pouring, but the rain stopped for our game! Yea! I was very excited, because we were still tied 0-0 at half time!! This is the first time since the beginning of the season [I know, the season just started, but still, it was exciting :)] that we have been tied at the half! We kept the ball on their side of the field most of the game, we just didn't take enough shots. Soooo...at the end of the game, the score was 0-1 and we lost, but we were all very happy that it hadn't been 10-0 or something crazy like that! I think that the score should have been still 0-0 at the end of the game, because their goal was off-sides, but that's o.k., the ref has a HUGE field to cover, and she did a pretty good job. But obviously, the S girls and coach didn't think that the ref did a good job because after the ref blew the whistle to signal the end of the game, one of the S girls said "thanks for nothing ref" and I think that she also said a bad word. The ref got really mad, and started yelling at her, telling her that she shouldn't talk to her that way, and other things. Then, the coach {surprise!! I thought that the coach was the one who was supposed to be telling his players not to talk like that!} of S started saying bad things about the ref, like, he said that he had seen bad refs, but that one was the worst he's seen. I admit that she didn't do a perfect job, but she didn't do that bad! I mean, talking like that is just plain rude and disrespectful! If a player and a coach say stuff like that, and they say it more than once, they should not be able to participate or something! The first time, they should get a warning, then if they repeat it, someone should do something about it! I didn't think that people should get that worked up over a couple bad calls! But anyways, enough about that! It was a pretty good game, and when we play them on their own field {the last game of the season} we are going to beat them! It was really cool after the game, because we got to see two of the people who were on my team last season play, and a girl who was on Ashlee's basket ball team last winter decided to play soccer, and is on the girls who used to be on my team's team [did you get that?!]. Anyways, we got to see some people we knew! And I guess I'll close now...SOCCER ROCKS!!
~*Note* I'm not going to use the team name, I'm just going to use the first letter of the town for a team "name" for safety reasons {now that we are on a "real" travel team, the teams don't have team names, they just use the city name, for example, G-U 14 City [Girls Under 14 city]}~

First and Second Soccer Games of the Fall '06 Season

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I took so long to write about my soccer games! The season started two Saturdays ago. We lost, 0-5. I thought that my team played really well for our first game! We get to play the team again, so I hope we'll win next time!! Last Saturday's game, we played away. We lost, 0-7. We played terribly. We were bunching, passing the ball to the other team, and letting the other team have the ball by not going after it! It was just not a good day for us!! I really, really hope that we start playing better! It was really hot for both of the games, too.

Romans 4:18-25

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be." Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead-since he was about a hundred years old-and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. This is why "it was credited to him as righteousness." These words "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness-for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

James 1:12

"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him."

100th POST!!

HI!! This is the 100th post [yea!], so I thought I'd put something special!!

Psalms 23
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quite waters,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Start of the Fall '06 Soccer Season

Hello everyone!! I just wanted to let everyone know that we've started a new soccer season!! YEA!! Well, actually it started last Thursday, but oh well! I am now on the GU-14 team! I am no longer on the Clash. :( I am on a "real" travel team! We are string 3 [or whatever you want to call it! we are the third best team]. At our practice yesterday, some more girls that are on my team showed up, and they all are really nice!! We played this really fun game called "21". I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but I'll try!! You have three people punting [a.k.a. drop kicking] balls out to everyone else [they are in the field and the punters are in the goalie box]. If you head a ball without it touching the ground, you get 7 points, if the ball bounces and then you head it, you get 5 points, if you trapped the ball right after a bounce and it doesn't move, you get 3 points, if you trap the ball before it stops moving, you get 1 point. That's basically how you play, I'm sorry if I didn't explain it clearly, it's a little difficult to explain unless you're playing it. Anyways, at the end of practice, we scrimmaged the boys U-14 travel team. We lost badly, 5-0, but it was our first time playing as a team, and it was a couple of people's first times playing 11 on 11. [Also, I think that they had been playing together for a lot longer than we had!] Well, all in all I think it was a good practice! [Personally, I think that we should scrimmage them again in the middle or near the end of the season, and see if we can beat them!] Well, I guess that's all I have to say, I'll keep you all posted throughout the season!!
Oh yea, Dad's my coach again, and Ashlee's on my team again, too.

The Greatest Game Ever Played

WOW!! This is a great movie!! I watched it with my family last night! I didn't expect it to be good, you know, being about golf and all, but it is actually one of the best movies I have ever seen!! The way that Disney put it together is amazing, especially how they make some moments really tense!! I think it killed my Dad's foot, because every time they made the ball roll in slow motion, or had a tense scene, I squeezed my Dad's foot, but, I don't think I hurt him, he's amazing! Anyways, it's a great movie and I would definately recommend it to anyone!! Oh, yea, just for an F.Y.I. it's rated P.G., and there are no really bad parts, they just use some strong language at times. So, yea, it it a GREAT movie!!

1 YEAR!!

I have had my blog for one year!! YEA!! I just wanted to tell everyone! So, yea! Thanks for reading this post! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MY BLOG!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!

Cry Out To Jesus

Cry Out To Jesus
Written by Mac Powell

To everyone who's lost someone they love
Long before it was there time
You feel like the days you had were not enough
When you said goodbye

And to all of the people with burdens and pain
Keeping you back from your life
You believe that there's nothing and there is no one
Who can make it right

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus

For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
They lost all of their faith in love
They've done all they can to make it right again
Still it's not enough

When you are lonely
And it feels like the whole world is on you
You just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus
Cry out to Jesus

To the widow who struggles with being alone
Wiping the tears from her eyes
For the children around the world without a home
Say a prayer tonight

Mirror

Mirror
Written by Barlow Girl

Mirror, mirror on the wall; Have I got it?
'Cause mirror you've always told me who I am
I'm finding It's not easy to be perfect
So sorry, you won't define me

Who are you to tell me
That I'm less than what I should be?
Who are you? Who are you?
I don't need to listen
To the list of things I should do
I won't try, I won't try
You don't define me; You don't define me

Mirror I am seeing a new reflection
I'm looking into the eyes of He who made me
To Him I have beauty beyond compare
I know He defines me

Who are you to tell me
That I'm less than what I should be?
Who are you? Who are you?
I don't need to listen
To the list of things I should do
I won't try, I won't try
You don't define me; You don't define me

(c) MMIV Fervent Records
Performed by Barlow Girl

I love this song. It talks about how we shouldn't live our lives according to what other people think about how we look. I think it's a great encouragement to Christain girls [and boys, but mostly girls], and shows us how we don't need other people's thoughts to govern the way we live. That's my interpritation, does anyone else have a diferent thought?

SoulFest '06

Last weekend (August 5 & 6), my family and I went to the SoulFest in NH. It was awesome!! The SoulFest is basically a huge concert. We got to see Bethany Dillion, Chris Tomlin, Jessie Daniels, Third Day, Natalie Grant, Casting Crowns, John Reuben and Kutless. It was really awesome!! I wasn't quite sure if my ear drums would survive Kutless, but they did, thank God!! Chris Tomlin was my favorite!! He was just so great, and the songs were superb! And, quess what?!, he's coming out with a new CD in September!! YEA!! Bethany Dillion was really funny! Did you know that she is home schooled?? Jessie Daniels was really cool!! I had never heard of her before SoulFest, but I got her CD there! It is a great CD, and I would definately tell everyone about it!! My favorite song is "Stand Out". Anyways, Third Day was the last one to perform on Saturday night, and they were awesome!! The stage set up was so cool!! They had these blocks that they stacked, and some of the musicians were on them! They blocks light up, too!! It was awesome!! Natalie Grant was great, she has such an awesome voice!! Casting Crowns was awesome, and Mark Hall did a great job, as did the rest of the members of Casting Crowns. John Reuben, well, I can't really say very much about him [because I didn't really like it], but my brother Reuben loves it!! All in all it was a great weekend!! All of us had fun! I got to meet Bethany Dillion, Jessie Daniels and Natalie Grant! I also got all of their autographs!! Here are the pictures my Mom took.~
It was a really fun weekend! Alos, my JC, Caitlin was there, so that made it even more fun!! Here is a really funny story that is sort of a SoulFest story. After SoulFest, we stopped at Chili's for dinner. Before we left, Ashlee, Naomi and I went to the bath room. When we were going out of the bath room, I passed this lady who look like Megan Garret from Casting Crowns, I thought to myself, "That lady looks like the singer from Casting Crowns, that would be really weird if Casting Crowns were here at Chili's!". When we got to the front, there was alot of people at the door, and some of them were wearing a uniform with a sticker that said something like SoulFest '06 Casting Crowns, and they had the Casting Crowns crown logo on it!! Then I saw Mark Hall!! I was thinking something like "This is really, really strange!!". It was really strange and cool!! My parents got to shake Mark Hall's hand!! It was so cool!! It is one of weird things in life!! Anyways, it was a very cool weekend! The mountians were really beautiful!! Well, I have more pictures, and if anyone wants to see them, leave a comment! Thanks for reading this!! Signing off...Tori:)

Camp Berea Girls Camp '06

Last week (July 22-29) my sister, Ashlee, and I went to Camp Berea for a week, during the Girls Camp session. It was ALOT of fun. The speaker was Jodi Greenstreet. She is a great speaker and I learned a lot about God and the Bible from her. The JCs(Junior counselor) and LDCs (Leadership Development Camper) did the music. They did a great job. It was totally awesome! Jodi challenged us to recognize God, and the JCs and LDCs were one of the ways that I saw God last week. You could tell how committed to God they were by the way they sang and played their instruments. It was amazing. My counselors name was Victoria (lol!) and my JC was Caitlin. They was awesome!! Caitlin played the guitar for the music. She gave me the chords to some of the songs that we sang. One of the songs, "Ain't No Rock", she said was really easy to play. My Dad tried to teach me how to play the guitar last night, and man, it is HARD!! I don't know how people can play that instrument so well!! It is crazy!! I'm going to try my hardest to learn, though. I had a great time at camp, though. And guess what?! I got my red band!! It the swimming test that you have to take to be able to go out in the kayaks and canoes. You have to swim 400 yards I think, and then you have to paddle a canoe and kayak (at different times) around a buoy, flip them over and then empty them. It is difficult. But I got it done!! YEA!! Here is a picture of my whole cabin on the last day.~

My Mom got Photo Shop Elements 4.0 for Christmas, and we just loaded it onto our laptop. It is really cool!! I've been making blends (a picture where you blend two or more photos together). It is really fun to do. I've mostly been making Narnia blends, but I made one of my sister, too. Here are all the ones that I've made so far~They are not totally amazing, because I just started using Photo Shop two days ago, but I think that they're decent. Leave a comment and tell me what you think!! My fav is the "Fighting for Narnia" one. Thanks!!

Emily Cook

My sisters and I got to meet the olympic free style skier Emily Cook!! She was really nice, and she talked with us about skiing and some other things for a while! We got to meet her, because her uncle is the pastor of my church, and she was visiting them. It was really cool! We got to take a picture with her, and she signed a book for me!! When we were done talking, she gave us all hugs, and told me that I could e-mail her whenever I wanted!! She also told us to "Give some love" to my brother, Reuben, because he was sick, and couldn't meet her! Here are the pictures of the book that she signed and a picture that my Dad took of us, it's not the best, but oh well!
