Christ the Lord is Risen Today!!!
Christ the Lord is risen today!
Alleluia!!!
Sons of men and angels say:
Alleluia!!!
Raise your joys and triumphs high!!
Alleluia!!!
Sing, yea heavens and earth reply!!
Alleluia!!!
Lives again our glorious king!!
Alleluia!!!
Where, o death is now thy sting?
Alleluia!!!
Dying once He all doth save!!
Alleluia!!!
Where thy victory, o grave?
Alleluia!!!
Love's redeeming work is done!
Alleluia!!!
Fought the fight, the battle won!!
Alleluia!!!
Death in vain forbids Him rise!
Alleluia!!!
Christ had opened Paradise!!
Alleluia!!!
Soar we now where Christ has led!
Alleluia!!!
Following our exalted Head!
Alleluia!!!
Made like Him, like Him we rise!!
Alleluia!!!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies!!!
Alleluia!!!
Sons of men and angels say:
Alleluia!!!
Raise your joys and triumphs high!!

Good Friday Poem
I'll Be Back Again Someday
Written By Brianna B.
The sky was purple
And the sun was shining gold
And with that comes the story
That in my mind unfolds
From far off in the distance
I could hear the crowd shout
“Crucify him! Crucify him!”
Now what’s this all about?
I inched a little closer
To get a better look
My thoughts wandered
And with them I was took
But through the cries and shaking fists
I could make out a figure in the group
With shackles bound around him
And yet he kept his troupe
In that moment that I stood there
I couldn't see a thing
But as I approached
I could see a king
He was arched and bruised and broken
And draped around him was a rag
In his eyes I saw words unspoken
As the cross, on his back, he dragged
“This is the mighty Jesus?”
They cried, laughing and screaming
I could see the blood seeping from his body
Maybe I was dreaming
This was the man who had taught me so
Had shown me the world from one place
He explained to me the Heavens and the Earth
And every star in space
How could they all hate him?
How can they cause him hurt?
I could feel a surge of anger
And uncontrollably I burst
“Stop it!” I cried at the top of my lungs
Searching for someone who would listen
“Please!” I begged with a tiny voice
And in my the corners of my eyes, tears glistened
Nobody heard me over the shouts
For something new had come around
For one man came running
With a thorny crown
No, I thought, as they placed it on his head
It can’t be, I thought, the tears running from my eyes
“Don’t do it!” I screamed at them
But they all pushed me aside
And then there was a moment
Where time seemed to freeze
Where he turned and looked at me
And all my cares did flee
For his eyes spoke without words
They said thank you for trying, but this is destiny
It’ll be okay
Just keep believing in me
And with that he was off
Back on his trail to certain death
Why didn’t he fight back?
Why did he allow this mess?
He reached the top of the hill
With the guards on his track
He could never turn away
Or change his mind, turn back
I watched as they cut the binds
Why didn’t he run?
I saw the nails and hammer
They shimmered in the sun
I couldn’t watch
Who ever could?
But when I turned back
He was nailed to the wood
He was looking to the Heavens
I think I saw his tears
He became oblivious
To the crowds angry jeers
He was speaking to his Father
And I heard his plea
He was staring at the tinted sky
“Father, why have you forsaken me?!”
That was that
It was done
Over as quick
As it had begun
The crowd departed
And He was removed from the rafters
They took him to his tomb
But I stayed long after
Feeling numb I wandered up
To the spot where he had died
And as I sat there for a long time
I cried
The sky above had turned navy
And the clouds were dull and gray
But as I got up to leave I thought I heard someone say
“I’ll be back again someday.”

Isaiah 53
1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him,
nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him.
3 He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
Like one from whom men hide their faces
He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
4 Surely He took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered Him stricken by God,
smitten by Him, and afflicted.
5 But He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him,
and by His wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on Him
the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet He did not open His mouth;
He was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
so He did not open His mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment He was taken away.
And who can speak of His descendants?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people He was stricken.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in His death,
though He had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in His mouth.
10 Yet it was the LORD's will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer,
and though the LORD makes His life a guilt offering,
He will see His offspring and prolong His days,
and the will of the LORD will prosper in His hand.
11 After the suffering of His soul,
He will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by His knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and He will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give Him a portion among the great,
and He will divide the spoils with the strong,
because He poured out His life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For He bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
