Water Buffalo

Here's my water buffalo. Where's your water buffalo?

(If you have no idea what I'm talking about, check this out. Veggie Rock ROCKS!!)

Indoor Game #7

So...I've just gotten back from my soccer game. We lost 1-6. Oh well, it's just a very fun game!! Our keeper (a.k.a. goalie for those of you none soccer oriented people) was absolutely AMAZING!! She totally rocks!! Well, anyways, I think we played pretty well. I played sweeper for most of the game, then for most of the 2nd half I played forward. I haven't played forward in about a year! So, it was kind of crazy! Anyways, I love soccer!!

Indoor Game #6

Ummmm, yea, this is really late, but at least I'm getting to post it!! lol! Last Saturday (exactly a week ago for those of you who havn't noticed!) we won!! YEA!! Go us!! The score was 10-2. Poor other team. :[ They weren't too happy. We were, though!! Tonight, I'm off to play another team!! GO MY TEAM!!

The Light of the World

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they might see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." ~Matthew 5:14-16

Today as Christians, we really need to shine God's truth and forgiveness into the world. We need to let our lights shine before men, and NOT hide it under a bowl. When I get to heaven, I want God to say to me "Well done, good and faithful servent" don't you? I want people to see that I'm a Christian and praise my Daddy in heaven, don't you?

Graphics

Here are some pictures I just embellished. I like the second black and white cross picture best.
The last one (^) didn't come out the best, but I really liked the picture!! What do you think?

Reflections of You

Reflections of You
Written by Krystal Meyers, Ian Eskelin,
Andrew Bojanic, & Elizabeth Hooper

I spent my time
Trying to find
A way to lose Your shadow
I shut You out
I let You down
How could I be so shallow?
I never thought of the consequences
Until the water was over my head
All along I built these walls
Now I'm gonna let them fall

I'm seeing for the first time
The changes on the inside shining through
Your love is the reason I'm alive
So as I live my life
In everything I do
I hope You see reflections of You

You watched me make all my mistakes
And You always took me back
Time and again You were my friend
Show me how to be like that
I wanna love You the way You loved me
I wanna learn to forgive and forget
All along I've built these walls
I'm breaking free
Let them fall

I'm seeing on the outside
The changes on the inside shining through
Your love is the reason I'm alive
So as I live my life
In everything I do
I hope You see reflections of You

I know I'm not perfect
But in Your eyes You see something more
In everything I do
I hope You see reflections of You

I'm seeing on the outside
The changes on the inside shining through
Your love is the reason I'm alive
So as I live my life
In everything I do
I hope You see reflections of You

Names...

I love to read (like, all the time). One of the most recent books that I just finished reading is called "Eye of the Oracle" (written by Brian Davis, and it's the first book in the "Oracles of Fire" series.). It is one of the BEST books I have ever read! Brian Davis is an amazing author! Well, anyways, one of the characters in his book's name is Elam. I thought that it was an awesome name! It is so unique!! It's from this Bible, and in the Bible, he is Shem's son, a.k.a. Noah's grandson! I thought that was pretty cool, too! I'm writing this post to tell you what I would name my children (if I ever have any)! You all must feel really special! Oh yea, the names are in the order I want the kids to be!! And the meaning of the names are after the names!!

Elam Markus~{Elam} forever or hidden, {Markus} Dedicated to Mars (I don't like the meaning, but I really like this name, and Elam and Markus together)
Arya~ song, melody
Corin~ spear
Klara~ famous, brilliant
Jesse~ gift

(btw, Klara and Jesse are going to be twins!!)
I absolutely love those names!! I don't have middle names for everyone yet, but I'm working on it!! Oh yea, all of those names came from books that I have read!! Isn't that cool?

Ana Laura Blend

Here's a blend I made of Ana Laura. I sort of tried something new with this one by putting the font on the side instead of on the bottom or top. What do you think? I thought it came out pretty cool!!

High School Musical Wallpaper

Here's a wallpaper graphic I made. I thought it came out pretty cool!! My sibs and I thought it would be fun to make something like the High School Musical movie poster thing, but with them in it! So, this is the result!! Do you all like it?? :D

Barlow Girl Blends

Here are some blends I made of Alyssa Barlow and Barlow Girl. Which Alyssa one do you like better? And which Barlow Girl one do you like better?
Alyssa ones~

Barlow Girl ones~(Oh, yea, the words on the Barlow Girl ones is a quote Alyssa Barlow made! It rocks!! "Be a voice not an echo!!")

Indoor Game #5

Last Saturday, we had our 5th game, and we won!! YEA!! The score was 4-3, like last week. It was quite close, the team we played against was pretty good, but we were better! lol! Erika and Katelyn came! They said they had fun, and I thought it was great to have them there! I LOVE SOCCER!! I think we're playing next session, too!! I'm very excited about that!! We are playing with our team instead of string 1. It is a lot of fun playing with string 1, and I hope my team can learn a lot from playing indoor!!

Poems by Ashlee

The Sun Is In The Sky
By Me (Ashlee)
The sun is in the sky
It will set by and by
The clouds are white and fluffy
I take a bath with my ducky

Pictures In The Clouds
By Me (Ashlee)
Have you ever seen the cloud pictures?
They are full of mixtures
One picture I see in a cloud
Is a man who bowed and bowed and bowed
To the cheering crowd
Another picture I see
Is a raging lion
His mouth is wide open and he seems to be crying
One cloud is dark
And my dog starts to bark
"Come inside," he seems to say
"Come inside and stay while it rains"

Haiku
By Me (Ashlee)
The lovely green tree
Standing there in my back yard
I love my old tree

The Sea
By Me (Ashlee)
When the wind blows
I can smell the sea
It comes to my nose
I can smell the sea
With the shell to my ear
I can hear the sea
It does not inflict fear
I can hear the sea
And now, oh joy!
I can see the sea
There in the sand my sister plays with her toy
I can see the sea
I love the sea with all its boats
I love the sea
And that's all I've wrote
I LOVE THE SEA!

The Christmas Tree
By Me (Ashlee)
One year in our hous
No one was as quiet as a mouse
All of a sudden
As thick as puddin'
We heard a crash
And ran very fast
Only to see
Our lovely tree
Had fallen to the floor
And had broken Dad's glass ornament we had gotten at the store

DO NOT CONFORM

"DO NOT CONFORM any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." -Romans 12:2a
I think this is a key verse for Christian teens everywhere. There is so much pressure to conform and be exactly like everyone else to fit in and be "cool". We should all remember this verse and be unique in Christ.

Keep Grinding, Lord

Martin Wells Knapp was once going through the fires of affliction. His troubles seemed more than he could bear. In his distress he sought relief; alone in his room, he fell to his knees and asked God to remove the trial from him. As he lingered on his knees a vision came before him. He saw a rough piece of marble with a sculptor at work with a hammer and chisel. Through the dust and flying chips he saw the outline of a beautiful figure beginning to take shape in the marble, as it was hammered and chiseled and ground by the master sculptor. Knapp says the Lord spoke to him saying, "Son, you are that rough block of marble. I have a pattern in my mind of what I desire to produce in your character, and will do, if yoy will stand the grinding. But I will stop now, if you want Me to." His reply is the answer most os us would give under the same cercumstances: "Lord, continue the chiseling and grinding."
Some of us will need a lot more chiseling than others. There is a real satisfaction in knowing that the Master Sculptor knows just how much is needed to carve out a beautiful character, and there will be no more chiseling and grinding than necessary. While none of us covet trials and tribulations, and troubles and difficulties, most of us will endure them joyfully, if we know God's hand holds the chisel.
A little boy and his father were one day unpacking come large boxes out in the front yard. The father was taking items out of a box and piling them one by one on the little boy's arms. A passre-by remarked to the little fellow that he had quite a load, and asked if it wasn't too much for the little boy. With a smile, the boy replied, "No, it is not too heavy; my Daddy knows how much I can carry."

"2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perserverance. 4Perserverance must finnish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him."
~James 1:2-5, 12

Indoor

I am playing indoor soccer!! YEA!! Sorry, this happened about 3 weeks ago, and I have not gotten around to posting about it!! :/ Sorry!! Well...Ashlee and I are playing with the string 1 travel team for our city!! It is a LOT of fun!! All the girls on that team are really good, and the teams that we play against are better than the teams we played against last season, so it is just a whole ton of fun!! We have already had 4 games. The first on we won, 2-1. The next Saturday, we had 2 games one right after another, and we won the first one, 7-2, and lost the second one, 7-0. Then last Sautrday, we played the same team we lost to the week before, and we lost again, but this time it was way closer, and we were ahead for most of the game! The score for last Saturday was 4-3. It is so much fun! I wish everyone could play!! Oh yea, here's something to clear up things, (mostly Mrs. B.).
Sambas- Way cool indoor soccer shoes made by Adidas. Picture>
In my opinion, absolutely vital to my survival!! :) jk! But they are the coolest shoes, ever! And, the picture is of the Classic Samba (which is what I have), in my opinion they are cooler than the new ones, the Samba Millenium, but others may argue otherwise.
Hope that helps!! ;)

Beautiful Name

Beautiful Name
Written by: Alisa Girard, Kristen Swinford, Chrissy Conway,
Lynn Nichols, Tedd Tjornhorn

Your heart I seek to find
With Your hands You fashioned mine
Let me used by You to carry truth
To the ends of the earth
'Till everyone's heard
My mended heart will share Your words
I will tell the world that You are God

I will run, I will fly
I will live to be a sacrifice
Through it all I'll rise above
Unafraid I will face what comes
I will run, I will fly
And for my faith I'll live & die
I'll be strong, I will press on
For the sake of Your beautiful Name,
Your beautiful Name

Should all life cease to grow
Should chaos take control
The only hope we know is
You will save us
It's worth the cost
To take up my cross
As You take back what's been lost
Until all who doubt know
You are God

I'm not a captive anymore
I'm gonna soar to a new place
Take on a new pace
I know what my life is for

(c) 2003 Sparrow Song (BMI)

This should be the anthem for Christians everywhere. I love this song!!

My Friends

I love my friends! They rock! I won't try to name them all, because I'll forget someone and that wouldn't be good!! But, they all rock and I love them very much!

"A friend loves at all times..."
