Amazing Grace

Last night, my family and I went to see the movie 'Amazing Grace'. It was excellent! The whole movie was absolutely amazing!! You absolutely have to see it if you haven't!! The whole movie was totally phenomenal!! The actors/actresses did an amazing job!! The whole story is quite sad, but it's very exciting and moving!! It is so horrible what the Africans had to go through. It's absolutely terrible. You can go to the movie site if you want. Also, they have set up an organization to abolish modern-day slavery. It's called The Amazing Change. Our generation needs do act and do something about slave trade. It's horrible. Please go to the Amazing Change website, they have a bunch of things you can to do help abolish slavery today.

Indoor Session 2, Game #2

O.K., so last Saturday, we had another game!! We lost 9-1. I got the only goal again. And from the half line again!! lol! I thought we played a LOT better than last week. Hopefully, we'll learn to play as a team better during this session, and learn how to play better individually. GO TEAM!! Oh, Hannah and Katelyn are doing really well playing for us!! GO HANNAH AND KATELYN!!

i don't like bloody noses

unfortunately, i got a sensitive nose from my Dad. :( i tend to get more bloody noses in the winter...i get them in the middle of the night, too. not very fun. :P this morning i got a really heavy one that lasted for more than 1/2 hour. it was not very fun. i also got one at deep freeze in the middle of the night (that one didn't last very long though) and i got splatters of blood all over everything (sophie, you're probably lovin' me right now!! ;] ) yea, not fun at all. oh, and once i got one right in the middle of church!! that wasn't too good, because i was wearing a white shirt. yup, if you've never had a bloody nose, be very thankful!! probably no one wanted to know about my nose, but that's what's going on in my life right now!! on a lighter note, my birthday's tomorrow!! :)

2 corinthians 12:8-10

i love this verse. it shows how, even though we may think we're weak, and humanly so all by ourselves we are, but with Christ we are so strong. Christ is our strength. we should, delight in trials and hardships, we should delight in God, not complain to Him. with Him, we can overcome anything and everything. when faced with trials, we should turn them around from "look at me, see how terrible my life is" to "look at God, isn't He awesome to put me through these things to make me strong in Him" we all need to change our perspective and give all the glory to God, and make the spotlight on Him, not us. 'MY grace is sufficient for you...MY power is made perfect in weakness...when i am weak...then i am strong...'

sledding movie

o.k., kevin got the movie of a jump i did from sunday onto youtube. here it is. it really hurt when i landed!!

sledding...again

today we went sledding again with some of our friends from 'school'. ;D it was fun. i only went down twice because i am sore from sunday!! the first time i went down with sophie on a hard sled and it really really really hurt!! there was a ditch right before the jump and we hit it hard. somehow i hurt my wrist and my back!! after that, i went down on a tube, it didn't hurt as much, but it still hurt!! after that, i just watched and took pictures!! it was pretty cool, because there were some people from the newspaper taking pictures and movies of us and interviewing us!! it was fun to watch, and mr. o scared everyone, because one of the last times he went down, he flipped and landed on his head. that was his last run of the day!! lol!! oh, and john and eric, i think i posted before you did!! :P

sledding

yester day afternoon we went sledding with some people from our church!! it was a lot of fun!! i'm going to put some videos that kevin took once he gets them onto his youtube. it was a lot of fun!! we have a big hill near our house and it's a lot of fun in the winter!! one time, i went off the jump thing and i got huge air!! it was awesome, but it hurt a lot when i landed!! i'll put that video one when kevin gets it up! anyways, it was a lot of fun, and we're going sledding again with some of our friends tomorrow!!

Indoor Session 2, Game #1

Last Saturday, we played out first indoor game with our 'real' travel team (the one we play for during the regular season). Two people who aren't on our regular team are playing with us. Welcome to the team Hannah and Katelyn!! They did great for their first time playing for us!! We lost, 8-1, but whatever! It was some peoples first time touching a soccer ball in a couple months, so I thought we did o.k. Molly did an awesome job in net! YEA MOLLY!! (She thought she did terribly, but she did pretty well!! I would have done a lot worse if it had been me!!) So, even though we didn't do too well last Saturday, we'll do a lot better next Saturday!! GO TEAM!! (oh yea, i got the only goal!! yea!! it was from the half line with about 10 seconds left on the clock! pretty cool! so, i broke a no-goal streak, so now we'll get goals every game!!) (and Elias, it's not all about winning. some people *cough*me*cough* play because they love the game.)

Indoor Tournament

Last Saturday, Dad, Ashlee and I left Deep Freeze to go to our indoor tournament. We only played one game. :( It was sudden death, so if you lost, that was it. We lost 1-0. :( I think we all played really well, though!! The games were a lot shorter than regular games, so if we had had more time, I'm sure we would have won!! This ends our indoor soccer session playing for the string a travel team. :( I had a lot of fun, and learned a lot, too!! Next session, (which starts this Saturday) we'll be playing with people from our regular team, and two girls who are not on our team, Katelyn and Hannah. It should be a great learning experience for everyone, and a fun time, too! Stay tuned for more info once we play the games!!!

i got glasses yesterday. i can't see things far away...what is that, near or far sightedness?? i have no idea! i get them mixed up all the time!! lol! i don't have to wear my glasses all the time, though, phew!!

Deep Freeze

This weekend (Feb. 9-11), our youth group went to Camp Berea for a youth retreat called Deep Freeze!! It was awesome!! We had so much fun!! We went Friday night, and camp home about an hour ago! It was so much fun!! I'm running on about 5 1/2 hours of sleep right now, so bear with me!! Yesterday, I was running on about 4 1/2 hours of sleep!! I had so much fun, it was awesome, and everyone should go to Camp, because it rocks!! The speaker was Dwight Knight, and the band was 7 miles. Dwight was an amazing speaker! He is awesome! The band was called 7 miles. They were great, too!! The music was pretty loud, but not quite as loud as DecembeRadio!! I took a lot of movies of them, and I took a lot of pictures in general! The weekend was absolutely awesome, with a lot of stories to tell, and a couple, lets just say, interesting situations!! All in all it was a great weekend!! I love my friends!! Here's a picture of the group that went from our youth group-We had an awesome time, and everyone should go to camp! I took a lot of pictures, but I won't put any...just because!

newspaper route!!

Ashlee, Naomi and I got our own paper route!! It's been pretty fun! We don't have to go far, we have our street, the street next to us, and the condos across the street from us!! It's been going pretty well, there's only 28 houses on our route, so it's not too big! We just started Sunday, so we're pretty new at it!! On the weekends, we have to get up early to deliver the papers, because they have to be delivered by 7:30am. On the weekdays, they have to be delivered by 5 pm, so that's not too bad! The one bad thing about it is how cold it's been! It's been really, really, really cold out!! Every time we come back our faces, feet and hands are mostly numb!! It's chilling! lol! It a fun thing to do, though, and we're earning some money, too, so it's all good!! :D

"training"

lol! im not sure if i can even call what i do for soccer training (that's why it's in quotation marks!!). usually, i try to run on our treadmill at least 3 times a week, but that doesn't usually happen, usually it's more like 2 days a week. :P oopps. i really should do it more! most of the time, i run 1.5-2 miles. the fastest i usually go its from 6.5-7.5 mph. it can be pretty tiring!! lol!! usually i do that in about 20 minutes. my record mile is in 10 minutes and 30 seconds. it's o.k., i guess!! i've been trying to do crunches, lunge thingies and push-ups (on my knees, because i can't do them full length :/ ) every day, but i'm still working on that!! lol!! so, that's basically what my "training" is, who knows how much like real training it is, but it's what i'm doing!!

8th Indoor Soccer Game

O.K., so last Saturday, we had our 8th (and last ]: ) regular indoor soccer game for this session. We won!! YEA!! GO US!! lol! The score was 5-2!! We played on the old turf, so I got to use my Sambas!! Next Saturday, we have a tournament, and we also have Deep Freeze from Friday to Sunday, so we're going to go to Deep Freeze, then we're going to drive back for our tournament, then we're going to drive back to camp, and we'll probably get back at around 10:30!! Fun, fun, huh?! Last year Deep Freeze was a lot of fun!! We played soccer at 11:30 pm with about 40 people!! It was awesome!! There wasn't any snow, but the ground was really soggy, and my socks and shoes got all brown and stiff!! It was crazy, but a lot of fun!!

REAL LIVE SNOW

WE GOT REALLY REAL LIVE SNOW LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! WWWOOOOOOOHHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just incase you couldn't tell, I'm extremely excited!!! I love snow SO much, and this is the first REAL snow we've gotten this winter!! I hope it stays a very long time!! I still haven't been able to make a snow man yet. Probably today, though!! YEA!!!
