narnia: prince caspian

weelll...everyone else seems to be posting their reviews for caspian, so i might as well say what i think, too (lol!) [i was planning on doing this earlier, but school is insane!]...i don't think i can give a really good, complete review at the moment, i think i have to see it again to and really think about it [the first time watching it, i was in this blissful haze...thinking "i can't believe i'm finally watching this!! it's been what, 3 years?!" yea, we've been waiting for a while!]. throughout the movie, ashlee, naomi and i randomly whispered to each other about random details, which i'm sure the people behind us deeply appreciated [yea right. *rolls eyes*], but that made the movie more enjoyable for me! lol! like i said before, it's gonna be hard for me to really write a review, so i'll just mention a couple things i remember [warning::spoilers!!]...
first of all, the actors/actresses did amazing jobs!! i was a bit skeptical about ben barnes, but he was just awesome (although i don't quite get how spanish accent=telmarine...yea...). my personal favorite character in this movie was edmund. he was just stinkin' awesome (go skandar!!)!! he matured so much since lww, and he was great in this movie! lucy (yeay georgie!) was great, too! i loved her faith in aslan, and how she grew up in this movie (i also liked how they made her a lot like the book.)
o.k., some of you might not like this, but to tell you the truth, i thought peter and susan were somewhat of a let-down. they did have some great scenes, and anna and william are great actress/actor, but they weren't my fav. i didn't really like how they weren't really like the book. for example, i didn't like how peter's faith in aslan was really shaky during almost the whole movie. and i didn't like how susan acted rather snobbish at times. (i think this is what i remember, but i still want to see it again...) don't get me wrong, i loved the movie! there were just a couple things i didn't like. for peter, he was great during the fight scenes (especially his duel with miraz!), and did anyone see the hair flips?? those were soo funny!! one i found especially amusing was during the duel with miraz when i think peter's been knocked down, he gets up, does a hair flip and has this really determined look on his face that's like "you think it's gonna be that easy? think again." :)
i liked the scene with the white witch (even though it wasn't in the book...). i thought it was really interesting...one of the things that disappointed me was how after peter pushed caspian out of the way, and then he basically took his place (he seemed really easily swayed in this movie). i loved how ed saved the day, though! that was awesome! :)
o.k., i'm almost done, but there's one more thing i have to talk about--susan and caspian (you knew that was coming, didn't you?). i think it was totally unnecessary. i think the director said something like how you see susan and caspian and you think they go together, or something like that. what i heard that, i was just like, "ummm, NO! no no no no no!!" idk, obviously they aren't ever going to see each other again, but they didn't have to do that (even though susan's lines after that were pretty funny!). anyways, yea, i didn't really like that part...
sooo...hopefully that somewhat made sense, i loved the movie [even though it seems like i just focused on the negative, hopefully i'll be able to write a more complete review later...], and can't wait to see it again! :)

pride and prejudice

guess what movie we watched last night!? well, i guess you can guess by the title, but we watched pride and prejudice (the 2 hour one with kiera knightly)!!!!!! we watched it with erika's family, and it is now one of my favorite movies!! it is sososososososososososo good!! it is simply one of the best movies ever (next to the princess bride and nemo, which is definitely saying something!!)!! bekah's going to lend me the book tomorrow, and we might see the 5 hour movie sometime this month!! it is such a good movie (did i say that already? oh well, it's worth repeating!)!! it's hard to describe, but it's a love story with lots of twists and details! it's really good, and i'd recommend it to almost anyone!! if you haven't seen it, it's totally worth the 2 hours!! :) yeay for pride and prejudice!!

board the enemy plane!!

yesterday, naomi, ashlee and i went to hang out with meghan for a little bit (you might have already seen the post on meghan's blog about it!). it was a lot of fun!! :) meghan rocks! when we first got there, we played ddr2 (dance dance revolution 2)! it was a lot of fun, but i need to let y'all know that i absolutely stink at it!! lol! i tried to do the 2nd level on one song, and i got an e (that's the worst score you can get!). but whatever, it was fun! after we all were kinda doing horribly, we decided to put it on the highest level, have each of us take an arrow and try to do it that way! that did work too well, but it was a lot of fun! :) the highest score we got doing that was a c...not too bad! lol! after that we played hot wheels, lot of fun, too!! then i helped meghan put some of the avatars i made on her blog, which was successful!! meghan also showed us the trailer for national treasure 2!! i just saw the first one, and it was really good, and the second one looks like it might be even better!! we went to play outside after that to play on her way awesome swing set!! we were playing planes/army, and we decided to make a movie!! it's pretty awesome (watch it below!!) (o.k., maybe not...i'm going to try to put it on later...)! i filmed it, and ashlee, meghan and naomi were the main characters. there are breath-taking stunts, like jumping onto the tops of airplanes; moving music; and superb acting! you should definitely check it out!
i had a really good time with meghan and my sisters!! thanks for having us over!! love ya! :)

Amazing Grace

Last night, my family and I went to see the movie 'Amazing Grace'. It was excellent! The whole movie was absolutely amazing!! You absolutely have to see it if you haven't!! The whole movie was totally phenomenal!! The actors/actresses did an amazing job!! The whole story is quite sad, but it's very exciting and moving!! It is so horrible what the Africans had to go through. It's absolutely terrible. You can go to the movie site if you want. Also, they have set up an organization to abolish modern-day slavery. It's called The Amazing Change. Our generation needs do act and do something about slave trade. It's horrible. Please go to the Amazing Change website, they have a bunch of things you can to do help abolish slavery today.

The Greatest Game Ever Played

WOW!! This is a great movie!! I watched it with my family last night! I didn't expect it to be good, you know, being about golf and all, but it is actually one of the best movies I have ever seen!! The way that Disney put it together is amazing, especially how they make some moments really tense!! I think it killed my Dad's foot, because every time they made the ball roll in slow motion, or had a tense scene, I squeezed my Dad's foot, but, I don't think I hurt him, he's amazing! Anyways, it's a great movie and I would definately recommend it to anyone!! Oh, yea, just for an F.Y.I. it's rated P.G., and there are no really bad parts, they just use some strong language at times. So, yea, it it a GREAT movie!!

First Decent

There's a movie that came out last December, but it's coming out on DVD on February 21. It sound really cool!! It's rated PG-13 for brief strong language and a momentary drug reference. It looks really good!! It's about 5 snow boarders-Shaun White, Hannah Teter, Terje Haakonsen, Shawn Farmer and Nick Perata (Shaun White and Hannah Teter just won gold in snowboarding). They got to Alaska to snowboard down the mountains there-without any ropes, stunt doubles, or anything else!! I know all this that I'm writing makes it sound pretty boring, but it looks really interesting!!
